A great example of their commitment to quality is the homemade pasta. Made from scratch, the pasta has a texture that’s just right - soft yet firm, with the perfect bite. The sauces are packed with flavor, complementing the pasta beautifully without overwhelming it. On a recent visit, I tried their signature pasta dish, which featured a rich, creamy sauce with a blend of fresh herbs and parmesan. It was a comforting dish, but one that also felt refined and special.

Beyond the food, the service at Quanto Basta is another reason to keep coming back. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always eager to share the story behind each dish or recommend a wine pairing from their carefully curated list. Speaking of drinks, the wine list here is impressive, focusing on Italian wines that pair perfectly with the food. • Absolutely fantastic!! Amazing staff and pizzas were to die for. Such creative ingredients and if you’re lucky you can grab a seat right in front of the wood fire oven. If I could rate the place higher I would! Team did a great job taking care of us Wisco girls!

  • Quick stop in Portland on our way up to Sugarloaf. Quanto Basta had been on our list for a long time, and we were finally able to make it this time around. We had missed it on previous visits, but it was worth the wait! The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between a cozy, vibrant atmosphere and authentic, powerful Italian flavors. We started with the fennel and orange salad — incredibly fresh — and then tried four different pizzas: the Rossa, Margherita, Limone, and L’Amatriciana. All were true Neapolitan-style pizzas, each with its own standout taste. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back. Bravo!

  • The fried chick peas were quite a fun shock as to how good they were. I have never heard or had anything like them but they were delicious. Both of the pizzas, a Margherita and the diavola were both very good. The espresso martini was a great way to end a long day of sightseeing

  • Great pizza…closest to an authentic Italian pizza there is in Portland! Pizza prices are about right for downtown Portland. Located in a cute restaurant in my old Munjoy Hill neighborhood (1990’s when it was affordable). Drink prices are a bit high for a pizza place, but on par with the rest of the trendy Portland East End bars. If you miss Rome or Milan, I highly recommended the pizza!

  • Consistently excellent all around! They always have an interesting wine list. The bay leaf martini is stunning. I love the salads & ever-changing sides. The pizza is unlike any other in town - I am such a big fan of the dough's flavor & texture. The staff are friendly - everyone working there seems invested in making sure diners enjoy themselves. I love that the menu shifts seasonally and would recommend checking out the specials. I'm so glad to have this gem in my neighborhood - it's great for a solo book reading meal, an intimate date vibe, or a festive outing with friends.

  • After one visit, I knew that Quanto Basta would become my go-to pizza spot in Portland. I've had plenty of pizza in Naples and this is the real deal! I recommend getting bar seating near the pizza oven so you can watch the chefs do their thing - the pizzas cook super quick in the 850 degree oven. It was running on gas rather than wood, but the result is delicious and you can see the leoparding for yourself. The Margherita, Limone, and Carciofini were all fantastic. The service staff were friendly and the drinks were solid. Highly recommended!
